§ 3-2. Same—Poundkeeper.

The mayor shall have the authority to contract with any licensed veterinarian to impound such animals after they have been captured by the animal control officer and keep the same, which contract may provide for the compensation of such veterinarian, not to exceed the amounts specified in this chapter for board and rabies inoculation, and a reasonable cost of humane destruction of animals as categorized. However, the contract may not be for any period longer than one year.
